(a small)

PUBLIC

PLACE

PROJECT

This small project is an ongoing work that explores the shared urban spaces in Sydney. Through video and audio, interviews, storytelling and participant observation this work specifically focuses on the sensory aspects and both the subjective and intersubjective experience of moving through and being in public places.

What attracts people to places, what deters them? What makes a place, what breaks it? This open-ended work aims at investigating the qualities that govern and are pertinent to various public spaces across Sydney. I interrogate the distinctiveness of specific places by representing each place through a different lens, experimenting with digital formats and playful approaches to and uses of media.
